Provides hands-on support and expertise in an area of EHS (environment, occupational health, and/or safety) to support the business. Works independently utilizing the fundamentals of EHS to support an area or specialized equipment and interact with regulatory agencies, customers, employees and co-workers. Works in tandem with the Site EHS staff, Team Leaders, and employees, the Senior EHS Technician will solve moderate to complex problems and support EHS efforts throughout the facility. Expertise in monitoring and operating control technologies to reduce non-compliance. Operates specialized equipment &/or monitor regulatory limits or chemicals and identify necessary waste utilizing a hands on approach. Provides solutions for moderate to complex problems/issues in area of expertise. Provides assistance to the business and the EHS
manager
to implement programs to reduce the risk to employees, contractors and the environment. Maintains EHS documentation and procedures. Follow EHS requirements required for special processes/equipment for the site. Responsible for continued education/knowledge in changes related to area of expertise on EHS regulations, policies, etc. Monitor and improve EHS performance; including testing and sampling to compliance and producing reports as required by the legislative authorities.
Associates Degree in EH & S, industrial hygiene or related field preferred. Two years experience in EH & S or related field preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong problem solving abilities.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
